I’ve been M.I.A. I’m sooo sorry! Well, sort of. I’m sorry in the sense that my posts have been less frequent but not sorry because I just had a fabulous visit with my parents!
My parents were here from Sunday through Thursday & it was glorious. We explored The ‘Burgh, I started a new job with Stitch Fix as a Stylist, celebrated my 29th birthday & was offered a job at Anthro. I’m over the moon. I had some pretty stellar days right in a row.
Getting to hug my parents & play with them made them seem not so far away. I, of course, cried immediately following their departure from my driveway. Oh, did I mention they DROVE from Texas & squeezed in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame?! They’re adventurers. Pretty sure this is where I inherited my innate desire to run free.
They rode the train with me into the city my first day at Stitch Fix. While I learned the nature of my new biz they romped around the city like tourists. My accent + my parents’ = a lot of, “You aren’t from around here, are you?”
Needless to say as we walked through the T station, me with my work tote & laptop & my dad with his backpack, I felt like a kindergartner going to my first day of school. They said they felt like I was dropping them off at adult day care. They make my heart happy.
The bonus part of mom & daddy being here? Dad is also a creative & willing to shoot blog photos for me. Hooray! I’ve tried to get creative & plan in advance for the hubs to shoot pics, but it doesn’t always work out & iPhone pics just aren’t the same.
I recently purchased these overalls & they are quickly becoming my favorite alternative to jeans. They are so fun & I love how they look with a burnout tank & bralette.
