Sequins, Stripes & Leather

I love mixing different textures and patterns. I talk about it a lot, I know.

I adore this sequin skirt from Mindy Mae’s Market. I bought it intentionally for NYE but after seeing some clever styling variations I am stoked to work it into my everyday style.

You can take a particularly dressy piece of clothing and make it more modern and wearable by wearing it with something completely opposite. The leather vest works in this case because it makes the entire look more edgy.

Pair this shiny skirt with a chambray shirt to make it more casual for the office.

Try something even more out of the box by wearing this sequin skirt with a black t-shirt, a plaid shirt (make sure it has black in it) and black tights with booties. Since the skirt has a black undertone because of the lining using black as the bonding color across the entire outfit is foolproof. With this look you could rock sequins at brunch without looking like you are doing the walk of shame.

Wear this sequin skirt with a t-shirt and sandals.

The possibilities are endless.

Gold is a great neutral.

Try something out of the box and a little different today.

Remember, if you wear it with enough confidence it will be gorgeous on you.

I also found this cool, Grecian-esque long sequin skirt.

I found this amazing faux leather vest from Kohl’s but I have not given her enough play time. This particular version is only available in plus size but I’ve included some similar styles here and here.

Let out your inner sparkle today, hippies!
