Celebrity Style :: SAG Awards

The SAG Awards was a thrill to watch this year.

The tributes and speeches were moving, my crush Eddie Redmayne was as charming as ever and the fashion was impeccable.

I particularly loved the camera shot at the end of the awards where we got a sneak peak into celebrities socializing. I loved seeing who fangirled who, which celebrities whispered jokes to one another, who tracked down a peer to snap a selfie, who gave kudos to who – I find it mesmerizing. I love seeing which celebrities take this moment, SAG Awards night, to try and mingle with their favorite actors. They might be peers but there is an obvious camaraderie and fandom among them.

My top style picks are below.

I noticed a trend…

I’m definitely drawn to edgy, distinctive and unique style choices.

1. Keira Knightley

Redemption looks good on her. I really disliked her Golden Globe fashion. She was channeling Miss Frizzle but this look is perfect. This purple eyelet ruffled dress is amazing. Dying. I love her smoky eye and ear cuff. The cut of this gown is flattering, feminine & gorgeous. I’m not a huge fan of all-purple but this look is exquisite.

2. Rosamund Pike

I wasn’t a fan of Rosamund’s look at the Golden Globes but this is her redemption. I would love to wear this look. It’s voluptuous, completely different from everything else on the red carpet and her styling makes her the poster child for edgy-bohemian style #MySpiritAnimal.

3. Emma Stone

Bravo! Emma is definitely showcasing her own point of view this award season and I couldn’t be happier. She even said on the red carpet, “Different is good,” and I 100% agree. She rocks this bold look that perfectly mixes masculine with feminine. Her style is one to watch.

4. Sarah Paulson

This look is simple, chic and powerful. It’s not the dress I love so much as her styling that makes it so wonderful. Her hair, accessories and choosing such a stunning silhouette make her a contender for best-dressed.

5. Tatiana Maslany

¬†Tatiana perfectly showcases two of spring’s upcoming trends: graphic stripes and black & white. At first when I saw this look I was intrigued and the more I look at it the more I fall in love. The silhouette is modern and flattering. I love the layered volume on the bottom.

6. Lupita Nyong’o

She is a fashion dare devil and I absolutely adore her for it. I look for her on the red carpet because I know she won’t play it safe, it will be interesting and she will look effortless. Bold stripes with tie-dye floral? Be still my hippie heart.

7. Joanna Newsom

Andy Samberg bagged himself a hottie. Joanna killed in this pastel, sparkly caped number. I was literally mesmerized when I saw her. Well played, sir.

8. Jennifer Aniston

Jen stole my heart in this beautiful vintage gown. I’m super curious about this necklace because she’s been wearing it a lot lately. Does it have a special meaning or is it just a favorite piece? Either way it perfectly accentuates two of her natural, ahem, assets.

9. Rashida Jones

There’s something about this look, I can’t quite put my finger on it, that I looove. The neckline is interesting and fun. Rashida simply stuns.

10. Emmy Rossum

Now, I’m not a fan of the necklace but this dress is so ethereal and lovely. The pictures don’t do it justice. She was a vision on the red carpet.
