Stripes & Jewels

I’m feeling a little overwhelmed this week. I feel like there are so many little things left to complete before Christmas! One thing I am really excited about, thanks to the hubs, is our idea to gift some local PA goodies. I’m really excited about being able to give my loved ones some treats they can’t find in TX. Gift giving is one of my favorite things and I love when an idea comes to fruition that is so personal, unique and thoughtful.

Do you ever find a piece of jewelry that is so beautiful you must have it even though you can’t recall a single piece of clothing you own that will compliment it? Welcome to my world. Meet The Piper. I found her at Mindy Mae’s Market and she’s beautiful. I didn’t know what she would be worn with or if she’d be one of those unicorn pieces I tell my friends about. You know, a piece you buy, it’s real to you but no one else has ever seen it so you might as well have a unicorn?

To be honest, I spent the better part of a day creating a look around this necklace. I’m really into statement necklaces worn with everyday clothes instead of saving them for special occasions. Something so gorgeous deserves to be worn as often as possible. Pick a coordinating or complimentary color and go for it! I chose a neutral pattern in black and white and a complimentary mint cardigan to debut my new gems.

What’s your favorite store to buy statement necklaces?

Have a glorious Monday, hippie babes!
