Mixin’ It Up

Mixing patterns can be intimidating, yet some people make it look so effortless. Namely, models on the runway and celebrities with brilliant stylists. Lucky bitches.

Since I’m a normal person I gotta figure it out through trial and error. I’ve found one of the easiest ways to mix patterns is to find a common color. Staying in the same color family is by far the simplest way to make two patterns fit together. I have two things I reallllllly love: my floral skinnies + an oversized tee from Urban so naturally, I try to work them into an outfit whenever I can. I usually stick with a solid color shirt or a chambray button down when I wear my floral skinnies. For a fun, sexy twist on two of my favorite garments I decided to mix ’em up. Luckily these little gems have the color marigold in common. #winning. And so I don’t distract from my mix up I kept all the accessories in a neutral.

Happy hump day, hippie loves!
