Hippie loves…’Merica

The Fourth of July is just a few short days away and I couldn’t be more excited! We are having a “Red, White and Blue Day” at work on July 3rd to kick-off the three day holiday. Even though I just got back from a mini-vacay in NOLA, I could use some more rest. There’s something about July 4th that is so magical and fun. My fondest memories are from being a little girl in my small town and going to grandma’s house, outside the city limits, so we could pop fireworks, eating melty ice-cream, the sticky heat of a Texas summer night and running around so long that you can barely keep your eyes open for the big fireworks show. I love any excuse to dress up and I’m looking forward to some awesome patriotic gear. My brother has already loaded up and honestly, I’m a little jealous. I mean, American flag aviators? Amaze. Here’s a few things I want to make sure are on my list for July 4th.

1. A delicious red, white and blueberry trifle is definitely on the menu from Skinny Taste.

2. These monogrammed American flag shorts from Marley Lilly have been on my wish list for awhile now.

3. Completely doable DIY ‘Merica Day nail art

4. Be still my hippie heart…crocheted American vest by Prohira

5. A fun red, white and blue sangria to sip while you enjoy the fireworks.
