I’m back from NOLA, hippies! If it was a contest, NOLA would have won but I had an amazing time. I attended my girlfriend’s wedding in NOLA and decided to bring a dress back from retirement for the occasion. I haven’t worn this dress since one of my own bridal showers more than a year ago and I found myself questioning that decision because the compliments were plentiful. Never underestimate the White House Black Market outlet store. It has a playful magenta, snakeskin print and I love the halter with the bow accent. Let’s be honest, I’m a southern girl so I love a bow, but more importantly, I love a bow that is pre-bowed, if you will, so it stays perfect. It’s breezy and flowy which is great for NOLA weather. The print is loud enough without having to add a bunch of accessories. Keeping it appropriate for an evening wedding in The Big Easy, strappy black sandals were perfect and this amazing stone ring was the perfect touch. Bonus to this cut of dress? I ate lots of wedding cake and delicious food and the cinched waist kept my food baby from the public eye. This dress successfully redeemed itself and is back in the rotation. I’m glad the #junelovebyrds gave me an excuse to breathe new life into this dress. Props to my awesome daddy for capturing some fun moments on the street of NOLA.
