Today was my Monday. Merh. The beginning of the work week is typically uninspiring because I’m mourning the weekend. This weekend was no exception. My parents came down for one night as a belated Mother’s Day and it was glorious. They watched the hubs & me play in our social softball league and we had a yummy dinner at a New York style pizzeria called Grimaldi’s. I took Monday off so we could hang out and explore San Antonio. We created our own tour de Southtown. We hung out at a record store called Propaganda Palace, had hummus at Madhatters, drinks and a Scrabble match at Halcyon and then picked up macarons at Bakery Lorraine. After a beautiful weekend I was really dreading the grind and my wardrobe wasn’t speaking to me. A lot of times I can picture an outfit in my mind but for my Monday, actually Tuesday, I wasn’t feelin’ it. Since I couldn’t channel a particular outfit, I did the next best thing and just mixed colors and a patterned cardigan. Cheetah is essentially a neutral, right? Coral, mint and cheetah spruced-up my rather boring trouser for a fun look that made my Monday, actually Tuesday, easier to endure.
